		<description>I had the same issue with the SBS 2003 BPA. Not wanting to encounter the same issue you had when we decide to migrate this box, I worked with MS support, and ended up with the following as the resolution:

Step 1: You can do the WMI query to get the computer&#039;s name by doing

Start/Run
wbemtest

Click Connect
Namespace: root\cimv2
Click Connect

Click Query
Select * from Win32_ComputerSystem
Click Apply

You should then see
Win32_ComputerSystem.Name=&#039;ComputerName&#039;

Specifically, note whether the computer name returned is upper- or lowercase.

Normally the ComputerName values are in upper case. I suggest you change the registry key and test again:

1.	Start regedit
2.	Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\ComputerName\ActiveComputerName, change the value &quot;ComputerName&quot; in to be upper case.
3.	Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\ComputerName\ComputerName, change the value ComputerName in to be upper case.
4.	Reboot the server and test again.</description>
