Philip Elder has been involved in the SMB and SME space since his I.T. career started many years ago. Building on his many years working with Microsoft’s Small Business Server (SBS), Philip’s ongoing specialties include all of the on-premises goodness we came to know and utilize in SBS. With the advent of Hyper-V in Windows Server 2008 Philip delved into building virtualization platforms both on standalone servers and then in a clustered setting for both compute (Hyper-V) and storage (Scale-Out File Services & Storage Spaces).
Today, Philip finds himself busy with on-premises and hybrid solutions helping businesses keep their data where they can see it as well as building cloud-like resilient solutions on Microsoft’s Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) and Azure Stack HCI platforms that out-perform public cloud at a reasonable cost.
